A Message From Julia Ribas

Growing up, I couldn't imagine my life without theater. It is a place to laugh, cry, and sit in awe of the art we as people have the ability to create. Most importantly though, I believe theater is the best expression of humanity known to us, and that is a reason the art form has lived on for centuries. The mission of No Limits for Deaf Children is to provide the gift of theater to all children. The organization breaks down barriers for young students who struggle to find their voice and their spotlight. As a student of theater, I believe it is essential to the progression of art to invite all people to create; collaborative art from diverse perspectives reaches further and touches more people. I am forever indebted to my high school theater program, the school of Theater Film and Television at UCLA and every show I've either attended or been a part of, as they've given me invaluable experiences and lessons. By working with this organization I hope to help bring its mission to all children and celebrate the beauty of theater.

No Limits works with underserved deaf children and their families, teaching them the skills to succeed in school and in life through our after-school educational centers and distinguished theater arts program. We provide the highest quality of services at no cost to families, because every deaf child deserves to reach their full potential, regardless of economic status.

We cultivate a community that actively involves parents in the education process, and instills in every deaf child the spirit of our motto: "I CAN DO IT!"
